The Local Area

The local area has much to offer:

Inland but accessible to the coast by car or taxi. (About 30 mins drive from Marbella and little further to Puerto Banus, 20 mins drive from the white village of Mijas, 40 mins drive from the cultural city of Malaga)

Close to golf courses - Alhaurin Golf Course is only 5 minutes away by car or taxi. Near to horse riding, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting.

Beautiful surroundings for walking or cycling.

The nearest cafe bar is a 15 minute walk or 5 mins away by car - providing food and drink from 10am until midnight and there are more shops and amenities within a 15 minute drive including an internet cafe.

The semi-rural location of Villa La Paz offers many local activities/amenities, however car hire or a taxi is needed to explore further afield. Now there is also a local bus service running twice a day to Coin.

In Alhaurin El Grande there is a lovely restaurant called Santiago del Calvario which has Flamenco shows on Sundays and live music on Thursdays which is about a 20 min drive away.

Also nearby is Finca la Mota which is a 15 minute walk away and we recommend the meals there, they also have live music each week. If you fancy the beach La Cala de Mijas and Marbella are approx. 25-30 drive away.

Gail also offers guests a weekly supermarket run and a safe taxi service for lone females.
